Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on the 18th of November 1985 in Los Angeles. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and Her mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's talent for athletics was evident right from the first day she began her studies at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she came in second place in the 200-meter event on the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix, who graduated high school in 2003, signed a sports contract with Adidas. She later attended in the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics that took place at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record doing 200 m in 22.18 seconds. In 2005, at the Helsinki World Championships, Felix was named the world's youngest champion in the 200-meter event. She defended the title for the second time in 2007 winning over her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three of her events.
